Welcome from our principal
Welcome to Yanderra Public School, a school with over 90 years of proud history, strong community connections and a commitment to helping every student thrive. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to succeed. Our dedicated staff provide high-quality learning experiences that challenge, support and inspire students to achieve their personal best. Guided by our motto, "Strive to Excel", we foster a culture of high expectations, respect, resilience and a genuine love of learning.
At Yanderra, we proudly prove that small schools can achieve big things, our students are encouraged to dream big, embrace challenges and reach their full potential. We are proud of the strong relationships we share with our families and wider community. Parent involvement is highly valued, and we welcome families as active partners in their child's educational journey. Together, we create a supportive and inclusive environment where students feel safe, known and valued.
One of the many features that makes Yanderra Public School unique is our beautiful and spacious school grounds. Students enjoy access to a modern adventure playground, basketball court, Covered Outdoor Learning Area (COLA), expansive play spaces and our developing Tiny Forest. These environments provide wonderful opportunities for learning, play, physical activity and connection with nature.
While we honour our rich history and traditions, we are also focused on preparing students for the future. Through engaging learning programs, innovative teaching practices and a commitment to continuous improvement, we strive to ensure every student develops the knowledge, skills and confidence to succeed.
I am proud to lead a school with such a rich history, strong community spirit and unwavering commitment to excellence. Together, we will continue to build on our successes and ensure that every student is equipped with the confidence, skills and opportunities to thrive both now and into the future.
