About our school

Yanderra Public School statement of purpose promotes the ideal of a "family school", encouraging strong family relationships and values.

We endeavour to provide a secure and stimulating environment for personal growth, where a rich and varied curriculum is presented which enables all students to strive for high academic achievement. The school endeavours to promote an attitude of independence and self reliance in order to prepare students for secondary education and beyond. We will continue to maintain and protect the unique character of the school and its environment and maintain and improve the school's management procedures implemented by the Department of Education and training. The school motto is "Strive to excel".

Office

Welcome to our school,our experienced staff look forward to assiting you and your children.

Office hours

Yanderra School office is open from 8.30am till 3.30. Please avoid contacting the office outside these hours.

Message to students

The office able to give urgent messages . Please make sure that any message is given to the office no later than 2.45 to enable the office staff to get the measge to the schild before 3.15pm.

First -aid and medication

Basic first -aid is administered at school. If thers is any major injury you will be contacted and/or an ambulance will be called.

If your child requires short term medication(i.e) antibiotics a form must be completed to enable the office to administer this medication.

Permission notes

All excursions notes and money which is in an envelope must be handed into the school office. No envelopes are to be handed to the teacher. Absent notes are to be given to the class teacher.

Newsletter

The school newsletter is published ever fortnight. They are delivered to the eldest child in the family. If you require more copies they are available from the school office or on the website, they can also be emailed to you, please supply your email to the office. If you dont receive your newsletter please see your class teacher.

Lost property

Any lost property will be kept in the classroom, please check with your classroom teacher.
